Privacy Notice

1. Data we collect and why

• Account data (name, email address, login credentials or Google sign-in identifier) — to create and secure your account and authenticate you. Legal basis: performance of our contract with you.
• Uploaded content (audio and video recordings, transcripts, generated content, brand voice settings) — to provide the transcription and content generation service. Legal basis: performance of our contract.
• Usage and telemetry data (jobs created, recording counts, timestamps, feature usage, error logs) — to operate the service, enforce plan allowances, debug problems and improve the product. Legal basis: contract and our legitimate interests.
• Technical data (IP address, device and browser identifiers) — for security, abuse and fraud prevention. Legal basis: legitimate interests and legal obligations.
• Support messages — to answer your questions. Legal basis: contract and legitimate interests.
• Marketing preferences — if you opt in to product emails. Legal basis: consent, withdrawable at any time.

We do not use your recordings or transcripts to train our own AI models, and we do not sell your personal data.

2. Who we share data with

• Service providers / subprocessors — cloud hosting and database/storage infrastructure, speech-to-text transcription, and AI model providers that generate your content assets, plus error monitoring and support tooling. They process data on our instructions only.
• Merchant of Record — Paddle.com, which handles the sale of our subscriptions, payments, subscription management, invoicing and sales tax compliance. Paddle acts as its own controller for that processing.
• Professional advisers — legal, accounting and audit providers where necessary.
• Authorities — where required by law or to protect our legal rights.
• Successors — a buyer or successor in a merger, acquisition or asset sale.

3. International transfers

Some of our providers are located outside your country, including in the United States. Where personal data is transferred out of the UK/EEA we rely on appropriate safeguards such as adequacy decisions or Standard Contractual Clauses.

4. Retention

Uploaded media, transcripts and generated content are kept while your account is active, or until you delete the job — deletion removes the stored file and its records. You can also permanently delete your account from Settings; this removes your private media, transcripts, generated content, preferences and sign-in account. Payment-provider records and limited billing records are kept for as long as needed to run the account and to meet legal, tax and accounting obligations. Logs are kept for a short period for security and debugging. When data is no longer needed we delete or anonymise it.

5. Security

We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encryption in transit, private storage buckets with per-user access rules, row-level access controls in our database, and least-privilege access for administrators.

6. Your rights

Subject to local law, you may request access to your personal data, correction, erasure, restriction of processing, portability, or object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where we rely on consent you can withdraw it at any time. Contact awaugh87@proton.me and we will respond within one month. If you are in the UK/EEA you also have the right to complain to your local data protection supervisory authority.

7. Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies and local storage to keep you signed in and to secure the app. Checkout pages set cookies from our payment provider to complete your purchase. We do not use advertising cookies. You can clear or block cookies in your browser, but sign-in will not work without the essential ones.

8. Changes and contact
